The Wayne/Pike Northeast Suicide Prevention Initiative (NSPI) hosted their annual Wayne/Pike County Northeast Suicide Prevention and Awareness Walk on September 26th, 2026, at Wallenpaupack Area High School. The purpose of this walk was to honor loved ones lost to suicide, share grief, and raise overall awareness and funds for local suicide prevention programs.
Along with the awareness walk on the high school track, participants were also able to listen to speakers, agencies, and people representing those who have unfortunately been lost to suicide. The colors for Suicide Awareness Month were presented along with breakfast and different tables set up by multiple programs, groups, and agencies for information and help if needed. The walk provided great support for those who have struggled with or have lost loved ones due to suicide.
