This week we’re turning the spotlight towards senior Brielle Ostrowski, a dedicated and involved member of Wallenpaupack. Becoming a senior feels completely different than her previous high school years for Brielle, with a more relaxed attitude and less-demanding classes. Although this school year is relatively new, Brielle is most looking forward to graduating.
Highlighting her involvement, Brielle is a part of FCCLA (Family Community Career Leaders of America), HOSA (Health Occupant Students of America), and student ambassador. She is also a member of the exorcise science CTE, following her pathway of becoming a radiologic technician.
When reflecting on her favorite high school memories, Brielle fondly remembers Mrs. Sandercock’s AP Lang class, where she met her best friends. Filled with laughter and inside jokes, the class became one of her most cherished high school experiences.
Looking back at her time at Wallenpaupack, Brielle recognizes how much she has grown, especially in her maturity and understanding of others. She has become more aware that everyone is navigating their own challenges, just as complex as her own. This realization has shaped the advice she hopes to share with others—don’t let the opinions of others define who you are. If she could give her freshman self a piece of advice, it would be to worry less about how she acts and presents herself to others.
“And in the end, if you’re happy with what you’re doing and who you are, there is no reason to be insecure.”
After graduation, Brielle is attending Misericordia University and is planning to spend the rest of the year keeping her grades up and earning scholarships.
