This week, all eyes are on Brayden Hoffman as our shining senior. Being a senior feels great for Brayden, knowing that he is close to graduating but still having time to make the most out of hanging out with his friends. His favorite high school memory is spending quality time with his friends during extracurriculars. He is looking forward to making his last year at Wallenpaupack, the best as it can be with memories he can cherish forever.
As Brayden reflects on his freshman year self, he remembers how he was timid, unsure of his place. Now, he has found where he belongs and is proud of it, uncaring of what negative people have to say. This follows advice Brayden has learned while navigating high school— “Don’t care what others think of you. As long as you know what you want to do, live by it and be confident.”
Brayden is highly involved in the arts as a member of Band, Marching Band, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, Chamber Choir, Show Choir, Concert Choir, and WAHS (Wallenpaupack Area High School) Players. He is also a member of the National Honor Society. After practicing the trumpet for numerous hours a day for five months, Brayden is extremely proud of competing in PMEA All-State wind ensemble and placing high. He hopes he can be a good influence for underclassmen in the fine arts program and show them that hard work can take them far.
After graduating, Brayden plans to go to college for a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering to eventually work on designing rollercoaster systems.
