With a steadfast dedication to the skies above, Joshua Lake is poised to embark on an extraordinary journey post-graduation. Setting his sights on Marywood University, Joshua will pursue a major in Aviation Management with a focus on Pilot/Flight Operations, along with a minor in Illustration.
Joshua’s journey is not just about academic pursuits; it’s about service and commitment to the country as well. Enrolling in the Air Force ROTC program at Marywood, he has set a course to serve as a pilot in the United States Air Force upon graduation. This unwavering commitment exemplifies Joshua’s sense of duty and determination.
Reflecting on his time in high school, Joshua fondly recalls the enriching environment fostered by dedicated teachers and vibrant programs. Engaged in a diverse array of courses, from AP Art to Aviation and French, he found each classroom experience to be not only educational but also immensely enjoyable. He attributes his enthusiasm for learning to the engaging nature of his teachers and the stimulating curriculum.
Beyond the classroom, Joshua has been an active participant in various extracurricular activities, leaving an indelible mark on the school community. As a member of the Art Club and Aviation Club, he has showcased his creative talents and shared his passion for flight with peers. Additionally, his leadership role as Treasurer in the National Art Honor Society and membership in the esteemed National Honor Society underscore his commitment to excellence and service.
Away from school, Joshua has further demonstrated his dedication to aviation and service through his involvement in the Civil Air Patrol, where he currently holds the rank of Senior Airman. These experiences have not only honed his skills but also instilled in him a strong sense of discipline and responsibility.
Looking ahead to college, Joshua eagerly anticipates the challenges and opportunities that await him. With a familiarity with Marywood’s campus and a steadfast resolve to excel, he is poised to thrive in the ROTC program and beyond.
