Taking place on Saturday, September 21, the Narrowsburg Honeybee Festival is an event held in Fort Delaware in Narrowsburg, NY, a charming river town in the upper Delaware Valley between the Pocono and Catskill mountains. The festival, designed to “Promote awareness, demonstration, and education about our declining honeybee population,” by promoting vendors that use all-natural or bee-related products in their goods, like honey or beeswax, which could be anything from jars of raw honey or a bag of maple candies to a tin of high-quality pomade or skincare. The event had food, drinks, arts, crafts, and a live performance by our own Buckhorn Band and Color Guard. This was our fourth appearance at the festival and will surely be the highlight of this year’s fall performance season for those of us in the band and/or color guard.
