With summer and the heat arriving fast, it is important to stay hydrated. However, you may not always want to drink water, so here is another way to stay hydrated. With a good lemonade, you can serve it with friends at a party, or you can drink it just because you want to. It is also easy and quick to make.
1 lb fresh strawberries (hulled)
4-5 medium lemons, juiced (about 1 cup)
3/4 cup sugar (or adjust to your preference, honey works too!)
4 cups cold water
Ice cubes (for serving)
Optional fresh mint leaves for garnish
Instructions:
Step 1: Prep the Strawberries
Blend the strawberries in a blender until smooth. If you don’t enjoy the seeds, strain the puree using a fine mesh strainer.
Step 2: Juice the Lemons
Squeeze fresh lemons to extract about 1 cup of juice. Pro tip: Roll the lemons on your counter before cutting—this helps release more juice.
Step 3: Combine All Ingredients
Pour the strawberry puree, lemon juice, and sugar into a pitcher. Stir well until the sugar dissolves. Add cold water and mix again.
Step 4: Serve and enjoy!
