The Aviation program (WASA) will be taking students to the Stewart International Airport in Newburgh, NY, on Monday September 22. During the trip the class will get to tour C17s, which are extremely large government-owned planes worth about 300 million dollars each. The students will also go to the Textron Aviation Maintenance Facility, where students will look at the maintenance work that these planes require. Students attending will have the opportunity explore the planes and will get to meet the pilots, crew members, maintenance crew, and the management crew there. Additionally, they will go to the 105th Airlift Wing of the International Guard. This opportunity is thanks to the amazing Aviation program here at Wallenpaupack, which is also the largest high school aviation program in Pennsylvania.
