Recently, the girls have continued to persevere despite the losses of their last few games. Though they have lost, they have grown not only physically, but also mentally. Since the Abington Heights game, they traveled to Honesdale and took a tough loss by a score of 6-0. Next, they took on Scranton Prep at home. Like Honesdale, they took a loss, but they had more offense this game, scoring two goals. The final score was 6-2 with Scranton Prep taking the win. On September 17, the girls played a late game at 6:00 pm against North Pocono. At this game, both team’s seniors were recognized during North Pocono’s Senior Night. After that, the girls took the loss by a score of 3-0. They fought hard this game and were happy about keeping North Pocono’s strong offense to only three goals. On September 20, the girls hosted a JV tournament for many neighboring JV soccer teams. At this, there was a concession stand, a basket raffle, a penalty kick competition, and more. Every year, the girls host this tournament to raise money for suicide awareness. Overall, the tournament was successful, and the girls are happy to support such a strong cause.
