Mini Thon is an annual event, sponsored by the students at Penn State University, where students can make teams or go solo to compete in a dance marathon. The dance marathon is 5-8 hours long. The catch with this is you cannot sit down for the whole event. The reason for this event is to raise money for families that have a child with cancer and who is being treated by the Cancer Research Hospital at the Milton Hershey Medical Center. The deadline to register is March 20 and the entrance fee is $20. If you cannot attend the event but would still like to help, you can donate to many of the upcoming fundraisers such as candy bar sales and Tye-Dye party. To stay up to date with the event, you can follow WAHS. minithon on Instagram or WAHS.minithon on TikTok.
