On Saturday, February 28, seven members of the WAHS Scholastics Team traveled to Bishop Ludden Grimes High School in Syracuse, NY, to compete in the Central New York Winter Invitational. The invitational was against 18 other teams.
Wallenpaupack’s A Team, with members Parker Nicholas, Jude Mautz, Henry Reichman, and Gabe Racine, faced many talented competitors but finished the competition tied for 2nd. The team was led by Parker Nicholas, who placed 3rd overall for individual points per game. Wallenpaupack’s B team consisted of Nate Freethy, Brad Miehle, and Jackson Racine. Nate led the B team and finished 9th overall individually.
The team’s next competition will be at the end of March for the NEIU championships, where they hope to repeat their previous win.
