As the inaugural season of Wallenpaupack Girls Lacrosse at the high school level is coming to a close, the girls look to keep advancing to set a good base to come back to next season. The girls played three games this past week, starting last Thursday when they faced off against Delaware Valley on Youth Lacrosse night. Over 70 youth players from K-8 showed up to support the team. Despite the overwhelming support, the girls took a rough loss, with a final of 19-3. Ava Hoffmann had two goals while Ivy Frangos added one. A scheduled game for the next day against Tunkhannock was canceled, leaving the girls with three game left in the season. They got back to action on Tuesday against Pleasant Valley. Despite going against the 31st ranked player in this year’s recruiting class, the girls made the best of it and came out with a 16-1 loss, with the lone goal being scored by McKenna Hanor. Yesterday, the girls took a trip to play Dallas in the pouring rain, which unfortunately got the best of them in a 25-0 loss. The girls will play their final game of the season at home on Saturday against Holy Redeemer at 10:00 am on the lacrosse field. Come out and support the ladies in the final game of their inaugural season.
