Christopher Peet

Christopher Peet, otherwise known as CJ, brings plenty of humor to Wallenpaupack’s senior class. He is also highly involved in the school, participating in both the swim team and his CTE program. Throughout his high school career, CJ has accomplished a great deal in both areas, from competing at swim districts to earning a gold medal in Marine Technology while competing in SkillsUSA at Johnson College last year.

Although CJ is involved in several activities, his favorite part of contributing to the school is his dedication to the swim team. Between the sport itself, his encouraging coaches, and the friendships he has made along the way, CJ says swimming has “meant quite a bit to me.” Even with all the new opportunities and responsibilities that come with senior year, his answer to what he is most looking forward to remains simple: “districts for swim.” If nothing else, his answer demonstrates just how much the sport means to him.

When reflecting on his freshman-year self, CJ had plenty to say. He began with, “Looking back at my freshman self, I’m surprised I didn’t get bullied.” While this might seem like a negative way to look back, CJ went on to reflect on how much he has changed and grown into himself over the years. Rather than one specific memory standing out, it is the collection of experiences, memories, and personal growth that makes him most nostalgic. When asked what advice he would give his younger self, his response was simply, “don’t do it.” Whatever the meaning behind that advice, CJ certainly left room for interpretation!

Now that he is a senior, CJ says it feels good to be so close to the finish line, with only one year left before graduation.

CJ wants others, especially underclassmen, to remember that “the world never stops moving; nobody cares, so just keep on rolling.” He says this is a lesson he has picked up throughout his time in high school, offering a straightforward perspective for students to carry with them.

Looking ahead, CJ’s current plans are to “get into reality and continue my modeling career.” Whatever the future holds, one thing is certain: his lighthearted personality and sense of humor will continue to make him memorable.

We wish CJ the best of luck in all his future endeavors!
