Last Monday, Mrs. Sullum took a group of 30 juniors from Wallenpaupack to the PACAC (Pennsylvania Association of College Admission Counseling) to King’s College in Wilkes-Barre. PCAC presented a day of education and gave students a chance to take a glimpse into their futures. More than eighty college admissions counselors were present at PCAC, which gave students the opportunity to look deeper into what different schools have to offer. Learning about what majors, extracurriculars, grants and scholarships colleges offer is an important piece in researching schools, and those you attended PACAC had all that at their fingertips.
Everyone also received a tour of the host school King’s College to ensure no one missed what was right in front of them. The day wasn’t all just tour and college information there was still fun to be had. When asked about what the best part of the day was, Mrs. Sullum responded with, “The best part for students was lunch in the main cafeteria, since they were able to eat as much as they wanted, especially for dessert!”
